The Families
A family here is a name: the people who carry it or were born to it, the line the archive filed them on, the households that join it to the others, and the places and records that name them. Each page is counted from the archive's own data.
Who gets a page
A name has a family page when a direct-line ancestor on the archive's chart carries it, or at least eight people on these pages carry it, or the archive's own research files treat it as a family under investigation. The two older pages, the Barrys and the Kolbes, were written by hand; the rest are drawn from the people, households, chart, places and register the archive already holds. They add no claim to the archive: they count, group and link what is there.
A shared surname is not a relationship. These pages group people by the name they carry and by the line the archive filed them on, as The People does, and the only connections they draw are the households the archive has recorded.
