WERDMULLER AND COMPANY” — FATHER AND SON IN BUSINESS TOGETHER, in the year he died. His own death notice and will are both filed and neither is read. THE MAN THE SETTLER’S FOURTH DAUGHTER MARRIED, and until today a bracket after her name. He is at BURGERSDORP in April 1857, standing at a font with AUGUSTA LOUISA KOLBE. He is at Burgersdorp again on 7 JULY 1874, married BY SPECIAL LICENCE by the Rev. William Cromar to ELIZABETH JOHANNA CATHARINE VORSTER — and the Eastern Province Herald prints his name in full as COENRAAD JOHANNES OTTO WERDMULLER D’ELGG, which is the first time this archive has seen the von Elgg written by anyone but a genealogist.
