…Serious Almost certainly one man entered twice under the two spellings of the surname. → Anna Catharina Booysen 1842–1960. Reject One hundred and eighteen years old. A typing error, probably for 1860 or 1906. George Augustus Kolbe (1802–1844) Julia Kolbe born 1846, two years after his death; seven consistency issues in all. Resolved RESOLVED. His 1845 death notice (estate 7698) and his gravestone both give 1 December 1844, and neither his notice nor his widow’s 1867 notice lists a Julia. Reject the child, keep the date. The same two documents also drop KEETOR PETER BENJAMIN KOLBE, whom the tree gives a 1840 birth — he is in neither list.…

…Ten children, and one who is missing The notice names ten. Keetor Peter Benjamin Kolbe , whom the tree gives a birth in 1840, is not among them — nor among the ten in his mother's 1867 notice. He died young, or he does not belong in this family. Julia Kolbe , whom MyHeritage flags as born two years after her father's death, is likewise absent, as she must be. 21 September 2026 — and “Keetor” is not a name. A compiled register report of 2012 gives the same man as Peter Rector Kolbe , which is a name, so the tree has been carrying a misreading.…
